In appreciation of the consistent unparalleled interest and support for the Campaign for Alma Mater Endowments, the NGO has seized the rare opportunity of celebrating Senator Ibikunle Amosun’s CON FCA 60th birthday in her peculiar manner, and in conjunction with the office of the State Head of Service.
Forty (40) selected students from the Ogun state governor’s alma mater, African Church Primary and Secondary schools, Owu Abeokuta were selected to embark on a 3-day visit to Shongai Farms, Port-Novo, Republic of Benin, to commemorate his birthday. Ten (10) officials accompanied the governors’ juniors for proper guide, care and monitoring. The excursion which commenced from Monday 22nd through Wednesday 24th January 2018, was targeted at exposing the pupils to life outside classrooms. It is also part of the Campaign’s ways to advocate the culture of giving back to one’s alma mater.

In furtherance of the vision to enhance the Educational aspirations of students for greater accomplishment in life, the Permanent Secretary of Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, Mr. L. A. Owodeyi came up with another philanthropic gesture to sponsor four (4) pupils and a tutor of the same school, Saint Peters Primary School, Joga-Orile, Iju LCDA in Ogun State, on an educational tour to Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife on Tuesday 28th November, 2017. The School Head teacher selected the beneficiaries using appropriate criteria. Unfortunately, the trip could not hold because of the clash in its date with the first term examination of the pupils.
We are happy to inform you that the Campaign by Educational Initiative for Development in Western Nigeria to “Do Something” for your Alma Mater has started yielding results.
In response to one of the Campaigns of Educational Initiative for Development in Western Nigeria, the Permanent Secretary of Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, Mr. L. A. Owodeyi sponsored two pupils of his alma mater – Saint Peters Primary School, Joga-Orile, Iju LCDA in Ogun State on a two-day diaspora motivational tour of Cotonou in Republic of Benin on 16th and 17th of October 2017. The two good Ambassadors of the school selected by the headmaster are primary six pupils, namely:

- Fagbemi Aminat Ololade
