Donation of a Multi-Million Naira Building to EIfDW

The former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr. Tunde Lemo on Wednesday, the 22nd of November, 2017 officially transferred the Red Cross Clinic located at Plot 3, Golf Resort Drive, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta to the Educational Initiative for Development in Western Nigeria. The clinic was initially donated by the ‘Tunde Lemo Foundation’ to the ‘Red Cross Society of Nigeria’ on 9th May, 2012 for the healthcare benefit of the Ogun State Civil Servants. Unfortunately, the building has been in disuse for about five years and has therefore been totally vandalized. The donor in an interview with newsmen at the event expressed his displeasure over the waste of resources stating that over 60million naira was spent to build and equip the clinic by his Foundation and friends to commemorate his 51st birthday in the year 2012. He promised to conclude the transfer of all legal documents of the building to EIfDW for its operations. On behalf of the Initiative, Mr Abayomi Sobande, the Head of Ogun State Civil Service who is a member of the Board of Trustees of the NGO, expressed his profound gratitude for the benevolence of the philanthropist stating that it will facilitate the operations of the Campaign for Alma Mater Endowments across the Southwest of Nigeria.
